Sturbridge Harvest Festival - Oct 15 & 16, 2016
The 27th Annual Sturbridge Harvest Festival occurs this coming weekend. This is a favorite fall event for residents of Sturbridge and surrounding towns. The festival is located on the town common and at the Publick House, both located on Main Street/Route 131 in Sturbridge, MA.
One of the primary draws of the festival is the scarecrow contest. This contest is located on the lawn of the Publick House. Each year, dozens of entries make this a fun and highly creative contest. (For a sampler of past scarecrows, visit my video.)
The festival also features a craft fair, pumpkin decorating contest, live music, and gourmet food trucks. If you are in Central Massachusetts and looking for a classic fall celebration, this is the one to attend!
