So Much to be Grateful For

So Much to be Grateful For

This time of year, it is second nature to stop and reflect on those people and things for which we are grateful.  This weekend in particular, the list starts with cranberries and ends with a nap in front of the fireplace, with countless entries in between.

I am in a coaching program where, at the end of each day, we are to write down 10 things that we are grateful for.  Ten!  Only ten!  I find that my list fills quickly.  I also find that I am nostalgic for the previous day's list.  So I am keeping all of my lists, so I may go back and review them.  It is also interesting to see what entries come up again and again.  There are indeed some items that make the list almost every day.

This has become a rejuvenating way to end each day.  Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for.  Try it.  You'll wake up happier than you can imagine.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving weekend, all!

Kathryn: It's always good to remind others about writing down what they are thankful for ... we need to have those visuals in front of us as our mind forgets so much!  I think I will start again today to do it!

Hi Kathryn, I feel on top of the world every time I count my blessings.  Which I do every morning to get the day started and get me in the right positive mood.  Ahhh cranberries and a fireplace - unfortunately not in Florida.  Enjoy.

Hi Kathryn - We take so much for granted until it is taken away from us.  I hope you had a super Thanksgiving.

Gwynn:  It is easy to skip doing this, as we get caught up in the busy-ness of the day.  I hope you gain great inspiration.

Ellie:  Well, Florida has its own virtues.  Good for you for starting the day on a positive note.

Conrad:  Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you too!
