Fundraiser Events to Benefit Tornado Victims
In the wake of the tornadoes that tore through Central Massachusetts on June 1st, the community continues to pull together in an effort to offer relief to those who are in need of assistance getting back on their feet. Please try to make time to attend some of these upcoming events:
Salem Cross Inn Tornado Relief Donation: Salem Cross Inn, in West Brookfield, will donate 15% of food sales on Tuesdasy, Wednesdays and Thursdays, June 21, 22, 23 and 28, 29, 30 to the Central Mass South Chamber's Tornado Relief Fund.
This fund raiser includes dining at the Hexmark Tavern, in the main Dining Room, and for outdoor grilling. Outdoor grilling begins for the season on Wednesday, June 22, weather permitting. Take a step back in time and experience things as they should be while you make a donation to help those affected by the tornado. For reservations, call 508-867-2345 or go to www.salemcrossinn.com
Fundraising Dinner for Tornado Relief at OSV: At the Oliver Wight Tavern, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22. OSV employees are volunteering their time to host the dinner, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Chamber of Central Mass South Tornado Relief Fund. $20 for adults, and $10 for children ages 3-10. Tornado Relief Golf Tournament: Heritage Country Club in Charlton! Saturday, June 25th at 1:00 pm. $85 entry fee includes: 18 holes with cart, donation, steak dinner, music, entertainment, thousands in prizes. There will also be trucks on hand to collect household goods & non-perishable food donations. For info or to register call 508-248-5111.
The Copper Stallion Fundraiser Dinner: At The Copper Stallion, Route 20, Sturbridge. Dinner from 4 to 8 pm.
United Way Gift Card Distribution/Meet & Greet: Thursday, June 23. Southbridge Community Center, 153 Chestnut St., from 6-8pm. Call (508) 765-5491 if these times are not convenient for your schedule. An alternate pick up time will be arranged.
