If you have not yet planned your Thanksgiving, or are on the fence about whether to cook or dine out, the restaurants of Sturbridge offer a few options for you.  Two restaurants serve full Thanksgiving dinners, and a couple others offer a full dinner for take-out.  Whatever choice you make, you are certain to end Thanksgiving day with a full, warm belly.

Thanksgiving at Old Sturbridge Village

Old Sturbridge Villageoffers two options for dinner:  Thanksgiving Buffet at the Oliver Wight Tavern and Thanksgiving Dinner at the Bullard Tavern.  After dinner, walk off your potatoes and pie as you explore the activities going on throughout the historic village.

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Publick House Inn

The Publick House offers a full Thanksgiving Dinner that includes a variety of chowders, a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and a selection of pies baked on-site. 

The Copper Stallion Caters Thanksgiving Dinner

The Copper Stallion, Sturbridge's English pub, is offering Thanksgiving feast to go.  Their a la carte menu offers chowder and bisque, roasted turkey, stuffed pork loin, side dishes such as honey roasted brussels sprouts and roasted apple and butternut puree, and pumpkin and apple pies as well as a fresh fruit platter.  See their web site for a full menu.  Call (508) 347-2100 today to place your order.

Annie's Country Kitchen Offers Thanksgiving Dinner To Go

Annie's Country Kitchen also offers entrees, side dishes and desserts for your Thanksgiving dinner.  Choose from roast turkey or baked ham, then add rice or potatoes, vegetable, and dessert.  Their dinner serves 8 to 12 people and costs $74.95 (plus tax).  Call as soon as possible to order:  (508) 347-2320.

A Fifth Option:  Thanksgiving at Salem Cross Inn, West Brookfield, MA

Our neighbors at Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, are also serving a stunning Thankgiving feast.  In addition to turkey, they will tempt diners with lobster-crusted haddock and pepper crusted sirloin.  How about a slice of hot mince pie with brandy sauce to round out the meal?  Call (508) 867-2345 to make your reservation.

All restaurants require that orders/reservations be made well in advance, so be sure to call as soon as possible to secure your plans.

As the kids (now adults) become more independent about where they spend Thanksgiving, we give more and more thought to just dining out for Thanksgiving.  Glad there are options out there for us to dine out.
