I Toured Five Beautiful Homes in Sturbridge Today

November 4, 2010:  On a broker's tour of homes in Sturbridge and Holland, MA, today, I saw five gorgeous homes that are currently for sale.  While none of these are my listings, I was impressed enough with these properties that I want to share some of the highlights of each.  And of course, I am available to help any home buyer who is interested in viewing these properties.

10 Highland Lane, Sturbridge, MA:  $424,900

10 Highland Lane

10 Highland Lane offers the height of elegance in design and location.  This spectacular home, with over 2700 square feet, features a flowing floor plan punctuated by beautiful hardwood floors, soaring ceilings, and carefully selected trim design.  The executive kitchen opens into the ever-coveted great room, and the stately masonry fireplace stands at the center point for gatherings.  The master bedroom suite, which offers the ultimate in luxury and relaxation, provides for a stunning escape.

As a home under construction, this home awaits the buyer's final selections for counter tops and bathroom finishes.  The home is sited on a lot located in a beautiful cul-de-sac with 30 acres of open space beyond the back yard.  10 Highland Lane is centrally located, close to town and with easy access to highways.

10 Highland Lane is offered by Lorraine Herbert of RE/MAX Professional Associates.

39 Tannery Road, Sturbridge, MA:  $362,500

39 tannery road

39 Tannery Road offers a traditional center-entrance Colonial layout with an elegant two-story foyer and open floor plan.  The impressive bonus in this home is the beautifully finished basement that includes a media room and recreation area.  Your friends and guests are sure to feel so welcome, they may not want to leave!

This house is sited on a level lot with a gently sloping wooded border in the back - very private and serene.  Enjoy a quiet cup of coffee on the back deck or a stroll around the horseshoe-shaped street in this lovely neighborhood.

39 Tannery Road is offered by Lucie Lemke of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

4 Tannery Road, Sturbridge, MA:  $348,500

4 tannery road

4 Tannery Road is a newer Colonial home built in 2006 by Noel Builders.  This home offers 3 good-sized bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a 2-car garage, and is loaded with bonuses.  The kitchen has warm hickory cabinetry with trendy silestone counter tops.  Hardwood flooring adds an elegant touch, and the fireplaced great room provides a contemporary gathering place.

The master suite offers a spectacular getaway, with the soaring cathedral ceilings.  The master bath offers a private, luxurious corner tub looking out to the wooded back yard.

4 Tannery Road is offered by Dee Collard of Mass Realty.

4 Deyo Drive, Holland, MA:  $289,900

4 deyo drive

4 Deyo Drive is a lovely home located on a cul-de-sac in Holland, MA.  Built in 1990, this home exudes a homey welcome with its front porch and traditional layout.  The central kitchen opens to both the dining room and fireplaced family room - a very versatile floor plan.  A large living room, plus a finished walk-out basement, provide even more flexibility.

The setting for this property is like a private park.  Plenty of lawn is surrounded by peaceful woods, and the cul-de-sac location means there is no cut-through traffic.

4 Deyo Drive is offered by Marita Tasse of RE/MAX Professional Associates.

48 Clarke Road, Sturbridge, MA:  $272,500

48 clarke road

48 Clarke Road is a welcoming Colonial-type home built in 1996.  The home has a wonderful, open floor plan and is much more spacious than it appears from the outside.  The kitchen is a delight:  Beautiful cabinetry with granite counter tops, a large island, and a pantry.  An excellent kitchen for those who love to cook and entertain.  All rooms are sizable, from the dining and living rooms to the bedrooms.

A finished basement offers tons of extra space and goes on and on.  The back yard offers a surprise:  A manicured landscape with two level areas terraced into a gentle slope.  Plenty of opportunity for play and gardening and quite picturesque.

48 Clarke Road is offered by Susan Meola of Susan Meola Properties.

It's always nice to tour such fine homes, it's better however to sell them, and frankly I can only imagine living in one. I used to joke that don't these people want to see each other (being the homes were so big) until a client told me that is exactly how his parents stayed together (for the kids) instead of divorcing.

Thanks, all.  We have a great inventory of homes out here in Central MA.

These homes definitely give a taste of typical architecture in MA!  Great post.

Penny:  The center entrance Colonial predominates here.  Thank you for stopping in.
